Job Description and Requirements

The Account Executive is primarily responsible for increasing sales in existing areas and garners new sales in prospective categories. Account Executives must be proficient in new prospect and relationship building throughout client organizations to include small and large sized businesses nationally. Experienced Sales Professionals must be well versed in the art of complex selling by their utilization of proven methodologies and skill sets.

The Account Executive position requires an ability to succesfully manage multiple projects in high volume environments with tight deadlines, own strong written and verbal communication skills, and work closely with other members of the sales team, as well as the promotion and marketing departments. The Account Executive must possess excellent presentation skills; a strong understanding of promotions, marketing and client needs; and an ability to think strategically with an understanding of the "big picture”. A proven track record of increased sales, closing sponsorship sales deals, an industry reputation for competence, and a rolodex of key accounts and contacts for immediate use is desirable.

The Account Executive is directly responsible for understanding customers’ business requirements, preparing proposals, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and communicating sales information to internal teams. Further responsibilities may include account planning/positioning while building and maintaining customer relationships, and developing and executing strategies for penetrating new business. A thorough understanding of new media business drivers related to new media and rich media experience is a plus.
